A 2019 Stingray Music Rising Star recipient and a first prize winner in the 2020 International Clarinetist Corona Competition, Virginia MacDonald has established herself as a respected musician in the Canadian jazz scene. In addition to her busy performance schedule, she has given master classes at university workshops, including McGill, Montreal, Delhi and Mumbai. She is now focusing. on composing and performing her own music.
